AC Repair in Waco

Same-day AC repair when we can, for all makes and models.

When your air conditioner stops cooling in a Kentucky summer, you do not want to wait around. We fix AC problems for homeowners in Richmond, Berea, Winchester, Lexington and nearby towns, and we work on all makes and models. Call us and we will aim to get a technician to your home the same day, with weekend appointments available too. The most common calls we get are an AC that is not cooling, warm air coming from the vents, a unit that will not turn on, frozen coils, strange noises or smells, and energy bills that keep climbing. Our technicians find the real cause before they fix anything, then explain what they found in plain words so you know what you are paying for. You get upfront pricing before the work starts, with no hidden costs, and the estimate is free. Some problems have simple answers. A system that cycles on and off all the time may be sized wrong or may not be moving enough air, and we offer a free analysis to see whether a small change can help it run better. Poor filtration is another common issue, and we can suggest upgrades, from duct cleaning to whole house filtration and air cleaners, to cut down on dust and allergens. We also want to be honest about fixing it yourself. Air conditioners involve electrical connections and refrigerant, and a wrong move can cost you more and can be unsafe, so we recommend leaving the repair to licensed technicians. Our team has more than 45 years of combined experience, so we have seen almost every kind of AC failure. When we finish, we leave your home clean, and our work is backed by our 2-year workmanship warranty and our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you would rather avoid a breakdown in the first place, ask about our VIP Maintenance Plan, which includes a spring AC tune-up. If your AC is out right now, call us or send the form and a member of our team will be in touch shortly.

I was having trouble with one of my air conditioning units not working correctly, so I called and spoke to Rachel . She was so nice and got me scheduled just a few days later. Her husband, Butch, came out , and he was just as nice and honest about everything, unlike some companies I’ve used in the past. Let’s just say this was my first time using this company, and it definitely wont be my last. From now on, this is the only company I’ll be calling.

Dustin always goes beyond what is absolutely necessary in testing, maintaining, repairing and explaining. He and his assistants are careful to keep things neat and clean. This time we had 1st Service install a new unit to replace our 23 year old auxiliary heating and AC unit. Work was done in a day with no inconvenience to us. We also appreciate the annual plan that covers two visits per year and gets us a percentage off additional purchases.

Rita K.

We have been using this HVAC company for years! They are so friendly and informative. Everything is explained simply and I never feel taken advantage of. Prices are fair and they are great at communicating. I have been very happy with new installation and repair work with this company. Thank you Butch and Dustin for all of your help!! We trust you and will always recommend you!

We are very happy customers of 1st Service Heating and Air. Great service! When we bought our unit everything was explained in simple terms. The maintenance has been a good buy for us.

Whitney B.

I received a large portable AC unit to use while my system was being worked on. I still have a warranty and service agreement, so the price was very reasonable. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Nada H.

Added lightening arresting devices to the mini-splits. Excellent workmanship skills. Well pleased with the service. Pleasant attitude. Would hire again! No problems, whatsoever!

John S.

Honest, personable, dependable, stands by their work, reasonably priced. It’s a family business and feels like family. Actually they were recommended by my mom years ago. It was my first good experience with an HVAC company. We wouldn’t use anyone else.

Jennifer B.

Dustin and Butch are qualified professionals. They have repaired my heating, and air conditioning units. They are honest, kind men. Today is 18 degrees, Dustin repaired my heat pump. Last summer it was 95 degrees and they repaired my AC. Work is done in a timely manner, no mess. There is no price gouging with this company. They don't leave until they are sure everything is working properly. Highly recommend this company.

I am a bit late on leaving a review but I want other people to know that this is a great company for HVAC repairs and service! Their prices are fair and they provide good customer service. Everyone I spoke to was so nice and understanding with my financial situation. I will definitely use them again if needed in the future! They are a family owned business and they do great work! I’d rather give my money to good people that are deserving as they are. I would recommend them to anyone! I have no complaints at all!!😊😊
